A ruffled collar blouse featuring open placket with self-tie strings and front eyelet button closure, which when fully opened can be worn as light outer. Crafted using our sustainable UpcycleLino plain weave fabric woven from a medium weight linen weft yarn and a heavy weight cotton-linen blend upcycled yarn. The linen for the warp yarn are sourced from FLAX in France. The fabric is woven in Kakegawa, and processed in a factory in Shiga Prefecture, Japan. This UpcycleLino original material combines the crisp and cool feeling of linen with the softness of cotton. A softener is applied during the processing to create a light and airy texture for the Gingham check fabric.
The Off White and Black colors have undergone a finishing process of Omi-zarashi, which is a traditional non-chemical bleaching method used for over 300 years in Japan to make the fabric have a unique slightly crumpled texture.
