This garment is made from a gauze fabric woven with care in the Enshu region, using fine-count single-ply linen yarns—an essential material for summer. To prevent yarn breakage, the linen threads are covered with water-soluble fibers during the weaving process, ensuring durability while preserving the delicate texture. Although the fabric is a lightweight gauze woven with tightly twisted, finely spun yarns, it offers excellent strength and resilience. The blouse is designed as a light outer layer, with folded self-fabric trims inserted along the neckline and chest seams to create a frilled appearance. It can be worn in two different ways and is intended to be styled over tank tops or sleeveless tops, serving as a cardigan-like layering piece.
