Cold-water dye is a method of dyeing fabric; applying fiber reactive dyes to the fabric first which results in no fade color and secondly over dye the dyed fabric by cold-water dye which results in a surface of the fabric dyed whilist a yarn core of the fabric undyed.
Due to an effect of cold-water dye the fabric has beautiful uneven subtle hues and the cold-water dye will fade away with washes to become nuanced in hues.
