A lightweight regular collar shirt dress featuring a voluminous gathered sleeves, elasticated cuffs, and front patch pockets inspired by kitchen mittens. The front is designed with eco-friendly shell button closure which the dress can be worn like a light-outwear when fully opened. This cotton-ramie broadcloth fabric is crafted from weaving very fine compact cotton warp yarns, which are twisted with the fiber’s hair incorporated into the core to minimize fuzziness. The weft yarns use a medium weight cotton-ramie blend, resulting for its smooth surface texture.
The fabric has also undergone a finishing process of Omi-zarashi in Shiga Prefecture, which is a traditional non-chemical bleaching method used for over 300 years in Japan to make the fabric have a unique slightly crumpled paper-like texture.
