A tapered leg easy-fit pant featuring large side pockets with a playful shifting three-dimensional structural design. Crafted based on Ishime-ori, a traditional Japanese weaving technique that creates a textured pattern resembling the surface of a stone. Usually characterized using irregularities, raised surfaces, or small squares that are woven in to the fabric creating a unique design, this technique is often used in production of kimono fabric and other Japanese textiles.
This Ishime-ori pant is made of cotton-linen blend plain weave fabric from gas-singed tightly twisted double strands of cotton voile warp yarns and single strand of thicker linen weft yarn instead of using an orthodox two strands yarn aligned for both the warp and weft yarns. This slightly dimensional fabric is supple yet reasonably thick with dry-touch.
