This dress is made from a lightweight gauze fabric woven in the Enshu region, using fine-count single-ply linen yarns—a staple material for summer. To prevent yarn breakage during weaving, the yarns are covered with water-soluble fibers, resulting in a carefully crafted fabric with both delicacy and durability. Although the gauze is sheer and woven with tightly twisted, finely spun threads, it is a strong and resilient material. The dress features dolman sleeves and is designed with a translucent gauze fabric. Elastic is inserted below the bust to create ample gathers, giving the silhouette a sense of volume while allowing for ease of movement. The sleeves are cut in a relaxed dolman style, with additional gathers at the cuffs to add volume, ensuring comfort and flexibility. Because of the fabric’s sheerness, we recommend coordinating it with innerwear or pants for a layered styling.
