(UpcycleLino) Super Water-Repellent Linen Omi-zarashi Zip Shirt

A boxed-fit zip-up shirt featuring a front open two-way zip sliders with a chin strap, allowing for a high-neck stand collar design. The shirt has no yoke or cuffs, but uses inseam pockets at the side waist for a spacious fabric surface. This versatile shirt can also be worn as an overshirt due to its slightly larger armholes and sleeve widths. This sustainable plain weave UpcycleLino fabric is crafted using a medium weight linen warp yarn and a heavy weight cotton-linen blend upcycle weft yarn from leftovers of our garment production. The fabric has undergone a super water-repellent treatment which is highly durable to washing. The super water-repellent coating is also known as “Lotus Over Processing” as it repels water like a lotus leaf. It also repels oil and is resistant to getting dirty. The fabric has also undergone a finishing process of Omi-zarashi in Shiga Prefecture, which is a traditional non-chemical bleaching method used for over 300 years in Japan to make the fabric have a soft and unique slightly crumpled texture.

* Water repellency may gradually diminish over time with washes however, it revives and increases by ironing after each wash and it will not reduce significantly, even after 50 washes. Place cloth over a jacket when ironing. * Please note that this fabric is a twill weave, which has some tension. To ensure durability for long-term use, we have reinforced the yoke and back rise seam areas with slip-resistant tape. As a result, when looking at the inside of the garment, you will see white reinforcement tape for beige fabric and black reinforcement tape for dark navy fabric at the yoke and back rise seam areas. This is not a defect, but rather a necessary process to maintain the strength of the product. Please be aware that all products will have this feature. Thank you for your understanding.
