A straight leg relaxed fit pants featuring front pleats and elasticated back waistband. The back pockets have enlarged inverted pleats for added space and dimension. Complementing the design are buttoned cinch details at the leg openings, ensuring both function and style.
Crafted from a unique fabric that combines linen warp yarns with Japanese paper weft yarns, this material offers a distinctive texture and appearance. The high-density weave intentionally creates a vintage-like wrinkled appearance, allowing for subtle irregularities such as "Kaminari-Shiwa" (lightning strike pattern) and "Atari" (random bumps). By using Washi paper yarn the fabric gains crispness and dry touch while enhancing the fabric's durability that are hard to achieve with just linen, which tends to typically becomes softer with each wash. The Washi paper also gives the fabric a lightness, resulting to a fabric that is not too heavy, perfect for warmer days.
This garment undergoes a rare and traditional "Urushi" Japanese natural dyeing, which utilizes upcycled Japanese Lacquer tree chips to produce its unique mustard color. Japanese lacquer holds significant cultural value, having been used for centuries in the restoration of historical artifacts and structures.
