This fabric is made entirely from 100% hemp yarn that has been spun using the wet spinning method typically applied to linen. Conventional hemp yarn tends to be extremely stiff, resulting in coarse, rigid textiles that have historically been used for non-apparel applications such as coffee bean sacks and sandbags. By adapting the linen spinning method to hemp fibers, the yarn is transformed into a material more suitable for garments. After weaving, the fabric undergoes a crimping process at a domestic finishing mill, in which the material is softened through mechanical agitation. It is further treated with bio-finishing to enhance the texture. These treatments significantly reduce the stiffness usually associated with hemp, resulting in a uniquely soft and resilient fabric that offers a handfeel not typically found in standard hemp textiles. The design is based on a Bulgarian military sleeping shirt from the 1960s, reinterpreted with a modern twist. The collarless construction allows for easy coordination with a variety of inner layers. The front closure features simple tie tapes in place of buttons—a detail often found in vintage military garments—allowing the shirt to be worn open for a relaxed, casual style.
