This is a summer knit V-neck cardigan made of linen and washi paper.
The original knit yarn is a mix of hemp, washi paper, and cotton, and the simple V-neck cardigan is loose and relaxed, including the armholes, and the size silhouette is large enough that you can wear it over CONFECT's standard linen shirts or T-shirts without feeling cramped.
It goes without saying that CONFECT uses hemp material, but by using washi paper yarn, the areas that tend to have a glossy look in 100% hemp summer knits tend to have a slightly matte look, neps, and crispness, making it a cool knit that feels good against the skin even in the coming season when the humidity and temperature will deteriorate. Hemp knits require an exquisite balance of power to operate the machine, and knitting them with washi paper yarn, which is prone to thread breakage, requires very excellent skill and the experience of a craftsman. It is said that only about 1% of knit products in the domestic knit market are made in Japan, but this "made in Japan" knit was made possible thanks to our collaboration with a manufacturer in Gosen City, Niigata Prefecture, which has preserved its techniques and is now known as a knit town.

A knit product made from an original yarn made by twisting linen yarn and cotton washi paper yarn together. This is a "made in JAPAN" knit product made in a factory in Gosen City, Niigata Prefecture, one of the leading knitting towns in Japan. It is knitted using a molding machine into a 7-gauge tightly woven jersey knit. Although 7-gauge jersey knit is a very common and simple knit, by pursuing materials that are characteristic of CONFECT, it has been made into a simple yet unique item.
