By using a large amount of yarn and tightening the weave to create a heavy knit, it has a substantial feel. The outer surface has a crisp, sheeny feel typical of linen, while the inner surface is lined with fluffy wool, creating a comfortable texture that feels pleasant against the skin. Its simplicity makes it a piece that you'll never tire of, even if you wear it every day. This item can be hand washed, but due to the nature of knitwear, hanging it on a hanger can cause it to lose its shape and stretch, so we recommend shaping it and laying it flat to dry. The fabric is made from European linen yarn that has been double-ply processed domestically and Australian merino wool that has been treated to prevent shrinkage.
The knitting was done in Gosen City, Niigata Prefecture, making it a made-in-Japan knitwear.
Gosen City is where the textile industry was born during the Edo period, and the knitwear industry developed based on that foundation. Today, the area is home to some of the most advanced technologies in the country, and is known as the number one knitwear town in Japan.
