This gabardine material is woven using two-ply cotton-linen yarn for the warp and cotton and thick yarn for the weft.
By using two-ply yarn with a high linen content for the warp, the fabric is finished as 70% cotton and 30% linen, resulting in an extremely supple fabric that combines the resilience and softness of linen that is not found in 100% cotton gabardine material.
