An outwear-like dress featuring a shawl collar design and a unique alternating double button down front closure, crafted from plain weave heavy weight black linen fabric.
Black linen is a rare and slow made natural linen which has dark grayish hue from the natural colors of the soil that the flax fibers have soaked from natural retting. Harvesting of black linen is very limited as it is heavily reliant on uncontrollable weather conditions such as the period of the rainy season, its duration, and the amount rained having to be balanced to promote the development of bacterial actions at the harvested field in order to make its natural darker color.
