A European antique work uniform and pajama inspired tunic length smocked blouse featuring contrast colored stitching on the button holes and cuff slit details, complete with a nest Robe original embroidered logo on the back. Crafted from a plain weave lightweight linen warp yarns and heavy weight cotton-linen blend weft yarns of leftover linen scraps from our garment production which is slow made by our highly skilled craftsmen in Japan.
The eco-friendly UpcycleLino fabric is woven in Hamamatsu and is bleached by non-chemical method in Shiga prefecture, to make the fabric softer and naturally crisp in texture which will mature and age beautifully over time.

・Front half button closure with contrast color stitching.

・Pleated around the neckline.

*Due to the fact that this item is dyed after it's sewing and processing are finished, color unevenness tends to appear on the fabric surface. Each individual garment is unique and different in appearance.
*The indigo color may cause color transferring due to the indigo dyed yarn used especially significant in the first few washes but will gradually lessen over time. Please give extra caution as color transferring occurs when washing your laundry, while the clothing is in a wet pile together, or when rubbed against items in light colors.

Introducing UpcycleLino
UpcycleLino is the trademark for our original yarns and fabrics made of our production fabric waste.
Usually, when we cut our fabric, about 30% of the fabric is wasted (40% to 50% in general). But now, by making special garments and hangers using our own new upcycled yarns and fabrics, we can reduce the waste to 0%.
With our dedication to sustainable circular fashion and commitment to reducing the waste in our manufacturing process, we have developed an original upcycled yarn made of our linen fabric waste from our garment production. The upcycled fiber is made out of our pure linen fabric scraps with added organic virgin cotton fiber to become our original upcycled linen-cotton yarn named UpcycleLino.
We then produce upcycled fabric with this upcycled new yarn to create new clothing. There comes another fabric waste after the upcycled garments are produced, then we make upcycled hangers out of the remaining waste, following our social mission of "Full upcycle production = ZERO Waste" and thereby upgrading our sustainable circular fashion.
We received the GOOD DESIGN AWARD 2021 for our initiatives to the sustainable circular fashion.
