This two-way dress is made from a premium plain-weave fabric using ultra-fine No. 160 ramie yarn, offering an airy lightness, a sheer appearance, and a crisp, cool touch. Ramie—also known as choma—has been cherished in Japan and other parts of Asia for generations alongside hemp. Renowned for its moisture-wicking properties and distinctive refreshing feel, ramie is ideal for warmer seasons and remains comfortable year-round. However, high-quality ramie is now extremely rare due to limited cultivation areas and the steady decline in ramie farming. It is said that such fine-grade ramie may eventually become unavailable altogether. This dress makes generous use of that rare and refined ramie. Thoughtful details include a stand collar with tucks, voluminous sleeves with seam accents, and carefully placed tucks at the hem, all contributing to its elegant silhouette.
