This design is based on the existing 【UpcycleLino】BASIC denim 5-pocket pants, updated with a cleaner, more refined silhouette.

While retaining the timeless 5-pocket design with its balanced proportions and classic appeal, this version introduces back gathers at the waist for added room around the hips. The leg line tapers slightly toward the hem, giving the pants a distinctive shape that works well with leather shoes or short boots.

MATERIAL:85% Cotton, 15% Linen

Carefully crafted by a long-established manufacturer founded in 1905 in Kojima, Kurashiki—a region with a rich history in textile production. This special version of UpcycleLino denim has been developed to offer a distinct character from previous UL denim fabrics.
Warp: 10/- indigo-dyed yarn
Weft: 9/- recycled cotton yarn (open-end spun)

This new denim fabric has been woven at 9.5 oz for year-round wear, slightly lighter than our previous UpcycleLino BASIC denim (which was 10 oz).
The weft yarn is made from recycled cotton (open-end spun yarn) that blends variously colored textile scraps, creating a unique top-gray tone. As a result, the fabric achieves a deeper, darker indigo hue compared to standard denim that typically uses white yarn for the weft. For this particular fabric, we have adjusted the indigo dyeing to achieve a slightly lighter shade of navy, giving it a cooler appearance suitable for the warmer months.

We also intentionally reduced the fuzzy fiber surface—previously a signature feature of UpcycleLino denim—to create a lighter, cleaner look and feel. Compared to earlier versions, this fabric is noticeably cooler and more breathable, both visually and to the touch.

About UpcycleLino:
UpcycleLino is a new textile developed in collaboration with domestic fabric manufacturers, as part of our commitment to sustainable slow fashion.
Using a technique called hanmou—which involves shredding leftover fabric scraps back into fiber form and spinning them into new yarn—we mix reclaimed linen fibers with virgin cotton to create a new linen-cotton blended yarn. This fabric is made from the offcuts of garment production, giving new life to materials that would otherwise be discarded.

Through this product, we hope to raise awareness of upcycling and promote thoughtful use of our natural resources.

Due to the nature of the material, color may transfer. Please refer to the attached care tag for maintenance instructions.
Color may rub off onto other clothing or accessories through friction. Please take extra care when wearing with light-colored or white items.
Prolonged contact with moisture, such as sweat or rain, may cause dye transfer.
The fabric will fade over time; avoid washing with other items, especially lighter colors. Repeated washing will gradually reduce excess dye.
