Double yarn is tighter than single yarn, so it has less fuzz and the knitting pattern is clearly visible. The socks are knitted on the lowest gauge knitting machine among all Japanese sock knitting machines. Linen is a difficult material to produce, especially in winter, as the yarn breaks easily without the appropriate amount of moisture. These socks are also made slowly, with the machine speed significantly reduced to prevent the yarn from breaking.
