DETAILS
A design base from CONFECT essential relaxed fit crew neck t-shirt crafted with our sustainable UpcycleLino cotton linen jersey fabric. The sustainable fabric is knitted from a single strand of uneven yarn made of a 40% supima-cotton and high-quality leftover linen blend from our garment production, 30% virgin suvin cotton, and 30% luxurious pima comma cotton waste.
This eco-friendly fabric has also undergone an ethical dyeing process using food waste materials which are extracted from Onions famously produced in Awajishima for the Pink, from carbonized Plum seeds for the Ink Black from the Kishu region nowadays Wakayama and southern Mie Prefecture, Japan and from residues of grapes from Shiga Prefecture for Light Purple color. The finished garment has a unique uneven appearance, where no two are the same.

Introducing UpcycleLino
UpcycleLino is the trademark for our original yarns and fabrics made of our production fabric waste.
Usually, when we cut our fabric, about 30% of the fabric is wasted (40% to 50% in general). But now, by making special garments and hangers using our own new upcycled yarns and fabrics, we can reduce the waste to 0%.
With our dedication to sustainable circular fashion and commitment to reducing the waste in our manufacturing process, we have developed an original upcycled yarn made of our linen fabric waste from our garment production. The upcycled fiber is made out of our pure linen fabric scraps with added organic virgin cotton fiber to become our original upcycled linen-cotton yarn named UpcycleLino.
We then produce upcycled fabric with this upcycled new yarn to create new clothing. There comes another fabric waste after the upcycled garments are produced, then we make upcycled hangers out of the remaining waste, following our social mission of "Full upcycle production = ZERO Waste" and thereby upgrading our sustainable circular fashion.
We received the GOOD DESIGN AWARD 2021 for our initiatives to the sustainable circular fashion.
