Presenting our 2023 Autumn Winter collection theme "Impish Trad" - a collection that infuses clothing with a mischievous and playful spirit. Our designs blend natural materials, intricate finishes, and slow dyeing techniques to captivatingly disrupt traditional-inspired styles.
A relaxed fit crew neck sweatshirt with classic V-gusset featuring CONFECT’s original print inspired from graffiti found in collegiate and military vintage wear. This original print has details of OLDMAN motif, with images of antique furniture and miscellaneous items that decorates the shop, which were illustrated by our staff from the Omotesando store. The wording 'FAR OUT' was derived from a popular phrase in the 1960s-70s counterculture movement often to describe something fashionable and unattainable, similar to the word ‘cool’. Although the term may not be widely used today, we have incorporated it in conjunction with the OLDMAN motif to bring a touch of its unique charm.
This sweatshirt fabric is knitted in the renowned knit manufacturing region of Wakayama, Japan. The structure of this pile knit fabric is formed from a heavy weight UpcycleLino cotton-linen face yarn, heavy weight organic cotton binding yarn and a heavier cotton back yarn. This sweatshirt has vintage-like appearance achieved from using upcycled yarns for knitting which is made with linen fabric leftover from our garment production.

Introducing UpcycleLino
UpcycleLino is the trademark for our original yarns and fabrics made of our production fabric waste.
Usually, when we cut our fabric, about 30% of the fabric is wasted (40% to 50% in general). But now, by making special garments and hangers using our own new upcycled yarns and fabrics, we can reduce the waste to 0%.
With our dedication to sustainable circular fashion and commitment to reducing the waste in our manufacturing process, we have developed an original upcycled yarn made of our linen fabric waste from our garment production. The upcycled fiber is made out of our pure linen fabric scraps with added organic virgin cotton fiber to become our original upcycled linen-cotton yarn named UpcycleLino.
We then produce upcycled fabric with this upcycled new yarn to create new clothing. There comes another fabric waste after the upcycled garments are produced, then we make upcycled hangers out of the remaining waste, following our social mission of "Full upcycle production = ZERO Waste" and thereby upgrading our sustainable circular fashion.
We received the GOOD DESIGN AWARD 2021 for our initiatives to the sustainable circular fashion.
