DETAILS
A wide fit pullover vest featuring a crew neck and front half-zip fastening, made from our inlay knitweave jersey fabric using our sustainable UpcycleLino yarns crafted in Bishu, Japan. The inlay knit jersey fabric is knitted on a special sinker knitting machine to create a block-like pattern where the under thread just moves between the stitches front and back without tension to make the back side of the fabric soft for wearing comfort. This also makes the Inlay fabric to be less elastic compared to the common knit jersey fabric. The uneven thickness of our sustainable UpcycleLino yarns adds a rough texture that, in a positive way, gives it a vintage-like appearance.
This versatile and comfortable half-zip vest can add an accent to simple summer styling and be useful for layered looks as we transition into autumn.

Introducing UpcycleLino
UpcycleLino is the trademark for our original yarns and fabrics made of our production fabric waste.
Usually, when we cut our fabric, about 30% of the fabric is wasted (40% to 50% in general). But now, by making special garments and hangers using our own new upcycled yarns and fabrics, we can reduce the waste to 0%.
With our dedication to sustainable circular fashion and commitment to reducing the waste in our manufacturing process, we have developed an original upcycled yarn made of our linen fabric waste from our garment production. The upcycled fiber is made out of our pure linen fabric scraps with added organic virgin cotton fiber to become our original upcycled linen-cotton yarn named UpcycleLino.
We then produce upcycled fabric with this upcycled new yarn to create new clothing. There comes another fabric waste after the upcycled garments are produced, then we make upcycled hangers out of the remaining waste, following our social mission of "Full upcycle production = ZERO Waste" and thereby upgrading our sustainable circular fashion.
We received the GOOD DESIGN AWARD 2021 for our initiatives to the sustainable circular fashion.
