A collarless jacket with a clean neckline that can be easily thrown on like a shirt. Designed with a slightly slimmed down shoulders and the length is set longer to hide the hip line. Featuring patch pockets on the waist and slits on both side hems for added mobility, giving it a workwear-inspired design. Crafted using a pre-dyed Glen check fabric from medium weight French linen yarns. It features a traditional British check pattern combining small grid patterns centered around a houndstooth check. The dyed pattern is processed with Sumi-zome, from Mizunara and Konara wood charcoal in Iwate Prefecture, known for its top-quality charcoal production. The "sumi" or charcoal is traditionally used for its dehumidifying, deodorizing, and purifying properties, as well as a heat source in daily life. The dye is pigment-based, resulting in strong variations in shade and potential fading that contributes to its unique individual appearance.

*Due to the use of pigment dyeing the finished garment has a unique character to fade which is intentional to achieve a vintage feel. Similar to indigo dyeing on denim, pigment dyeing results in a strong and easily noticeable fading.
