This is a front-opening shirt jacket made from heathered striped fabric.

The wool fabric, which has a naturally uneven texture, is deliberately washed to give it volume despite its thinness, making it more comfortable to the touch and reducing wrinkles after wear.

The center front string is dyed to match the fabric, creating a more unified look than ever before, even with just one material. While the fabric feels wool-like, the fabric's pleasant texture and lightness make it suitable for use in warmer weather, resulting in a lightweight, easy-to-wear jacket that looks great even when worn over a T-shirt.

The buttons are made from water buffalo horn.

The warp threads are made of 1/60-count TOP wool Z-twisted two-ply yarn and 60/1 linen, while the weft threads are made of 1/60-count TOP wool Z-twisted two-ply yarn.

This is a made-in-Japan fabric, with the entire process, from weaving to finishing, taking place in Bishu.
The warp threads are made of Z-twist wool and linen dyed to match the wool TOP color. Refined, the fabric has a soccer-like texture that takes advantage of the difference in shrinkage between the wool and linen materials. The resulting uneven texture reduces the surface area that comes into contact with the skin, resulting in a lightweight, breathable material.

To weave this extremely delicate fabric, Z-twist wool and linen yarn are used, both of which have a tendency to pill due to their natural characteristics. This would have caused the yarn to break easily and would not have been usable as fabric, but we solved this by wrapping a spool around the linen yarn to reduce pilling. The process of processing the linen thread to weave this fabric takes time and requires special skills, so it is an extremely special fabric that is becoming increasingly rare in Japan, with fewer factories able to weave it.
