These wool linen socks are made using a custom twisted yarn made by twisting together shrink-proof wool spun after off-scaling New Zealand raw materials with linen top yarn.
Twisting together the soft and stretchy wool yarn and the stiff and firm linen yarn requires advanced skill due to the very different properties of each yarn, resulting in a special yarn that requires the experience of a yarn twister.
While standard linen socks are knitted on a low-gauge machine, these are high-gauge socks with a 6x2 rib knit on a rib machine.
