This atelier coat takes advantage of the unique touch, drape, and faded feel of the fabric created by the Nidom process.

Among CONFECT's coats, this one has a slightly slimmer body width, with the sleeves shaped like shirt sleeves and tucks in the bodice to ensure ample arm movement even while wearing the coat.

Large, convenient patch pockets are provided on the outside, and a pocket with fine dividers on the back, characteristic of an atelier coat, is created. The divider stitching is visible on the outside, causing puckering and fading with repeated wear, resulting in the coat's signature look.

Genuine water buffalo buttons are used for the buttons, and they are reinforced with penshell buttons.

This is a custom-made herringbone-patterned CONFECT fabric.

The warp thread is made of triple-twisted compact yarn (a special spinning technique that draws fibers that appear on the surface into the yarn, resulting in a high-density yarn with little fuzz) to create an exceptionally smooth and beautiful texture, which is then sulfur-dyed.

The weft thread is made of linen and cotton-linen yarn, dyed using a reactive dye, with different dyeing methods used for the warp and weft. This allows the warp thread to fade over time, creating a visual sense of three-dimensionality and depth.

The dense yarn is woven at an even higher density to create a special firmness, and the fabric is then finished with Nidom Bio. This softens the firmness just enough to create a faded warp texture, resulting in a unique texture.
This is a "MADE IN JAPAN" fabric, with all dyeing, weaving, and processing carried out in Japan.
