This 5-gauge knit fabric is made from an original natural material yarn, a blend of 1/7 count wool slub yarn and 1/16 count linen yarn.
The soft warmth and texture inherent in loosely twisted wool slub are perfectly harmonized with the crispness, body, and coolness characteristic of thick linen. The combination of these seemingly contradictory elements brings out a deep texture that is both rough and elegant.
It's hand-washable and has a practical texture that makes it useful even during transitional seasons.
The yarn is twisted in Aichi Prefecture, while the dyeing and knitting are carried out in Gosen City, Niigata Prefecture, one of Japan's leading knitwear production areas. The result is a textile with a rich texture, backed by the high level of technical skill of this historic production area.
