This twill fabric is woven at high density, using linen top yarn from Normandy, France for the warp threads and a blend of Shetland wool and linen yarn for the weft threads.

Normally, Shetland wool is spun using worsted spinning to take advantage of its nap, but this process deliberately uses worsted spinning to extract only the long fibers. This results in a soft and supple texture with reduced nap, and with the help of finishing processes, it has a beautifully smooth feel.

This CONFECT textile retains the classic strength characteristic of Shetland fabrics, while the delicate texture of linen yarn blends in to create a sophisticated vintage feel.
