This textile features a herringbone weave with off-white stripes, using linen yarn with flax from northern France for the warp and a top-blend yarn of Shetland wool and linen for the weft.

After being carefully washed in its raw state, the fabric underwent needle napping and tumble drying in Bishu, one of Japan's leading wool textile producing regions.
The sharp patterns of the herringbone and stripes are softened by the brushing process, resulting in a plump, rich texture and a gentle appearance.

This fabric, a testament to the craftsmanship of artisans in Bishu, beautifully harmonizes the rich, nuanced tones created by the interplay of different materials with an elegant appearance that avoids being overly casual.
