An exclusive collaboration style using UpcycleLino with MAKI OHKOJIMA Maki, an award winning artist. She deepens her reflection on the earth’s environment and on humans, nature, and the universe by using the expressive medium of art. Having started her career with painting, she has expanded the breadth of materials she employs—in proportion, it would seem, to the deepening of her thoughts—to include paper, fabric, wood, soil, and also ceramics.
MANDALĀJU is a 5.8 meter by 6.5 meter piece of drawing created by MAKI OHKOJIMA expressing a Tree of Lives.

A simple long sleeve band collar shirt with MANDALĀJU sourced print in our eco-friendly quality upcycled cotton-linen plain weave fabric which is woven from medium weight linen warp yarn and heavier weight cotton-linen UpcycleLino weft yarn made of 65% organic cotton and 35% our production linen fabric leftover.
・Collaborative MANDALĀJU sourced print UpcycleLino shirt with MAKI OHKOJIMA.
・Slightly uneven vintage fabric like texture.
・Soft and dry to the touch.
・Band collar.
・Front button closure.
・Barrel cuffs.
・High low hem; front curved and back straight.
・Garment pre-washed.
・Approximate weight: 286g.
Model in navy: 181cm, 5'11".
Model in beige: 166cm, 5'6".

Introducing UpcycleLino
UpcycleLino is the trademark for our original yarns and fabrics made of our production fabric waste.
Usually, when we cut our fabric, about 30% of the fabric is wasted (40% to 50% in general). But now, by making special garments and hangers using our own new upcycled yarns and fabrics, we can reduce the waste to 0%.
With our dedication to sustainable circular fashion and commitment to reducing the waste in our manufacturing process, we have developed an original upcycled yarn made of our linen fabric waste from our garment production. The upcycled fiber is made out of our pure linen fabric scraps with added organic virgin cotton fiber to become our original upcycled linen-cotton yarn named UpcycleLino.
We then produce upcycled fabric with this upcycled new yarn to create new clothing. There comes another fabric waste after the upcycled garments are produced, then we make upcycled hangers out of the remaining waste, following our social mission of "Full upcycle production = ZERO Waste" and thereby upgrading our sustainable circular fashion.
We received the GOOD DESIGN AWARD 2021 for our initiatives to the sustainable circular fashion.
