The design source is the wrap dress that appeared in France around the beginning of the 20th century, when women were freed from corsets. The wrap-around design for the upper body is said to have originated as practical clothing that made work easier and could accommodate bodily changes such as pregnancy and breastfeeding.
The design features a faux lapel design stitch at the neckline, which was commonly used in workwear of that era. At the time, this design stitch served to reinforce the fabric around the neckline of female workers' work clothes, which were subject to a lot of friction. It was also used to express elegance and individuality in work clothes, which had become impersonal as industrialization progressed. By adding design stitch to a simple wrap dress, the design feels more feminine.
*Weight: Approx. 726g
*Color and size may vary slightly. *Size worn: Size F
*Model's height: 160cm
Made in Japan
MATERIAL:62% linen, 38% cotton

MATERIAL:62% linen, 38% cotton
This plain weave fabric uses 40-count linen yarn for the warp and 15-count single cotton yarn for the weft, resulting in a classic, seasonless feel.
This material is made by utilizing parts that would normally be discarded during the cutting process of clothing production. These parts are passed through a re-napping machine and scraped with countless needles to return them to a cotton state, then blended with linen re-napping cotton and organic cotton.
This fabric has been treated with Omi bleaching for this project.
While the fabric is already known for its softness, the Omi bleaching process further enhances its softness and creates a natural crinkled texture.
This natural crinkled texture creates a unique vintage feel while also adding a comfortable, non-clingy feel against the skin.
