BRUSHED LINEN 2023

Linen is often linked to the warm days of Spring and Summer because of its cool, breathable, and fast drying properties. To wear during the Autumn and Winter seasons, linen is often not the first choice in mind. However, Brushed Linen defies this standard.

Since 2010, CONFECT has slowly challenge this preconceptions with our yearly Brushed Linen releases.

Thanks to its deep brushing, it creates a fabric structure that can effectively trap warm air, resulting in insulation and increased heat retention. Additionally, by increasing the weave density, it also offers wind resistance, making it a functional choice for winter garments.

Slow Made in Kyoto, Japan at an old textile house with expertise in linen, using a medium weight linen canvas which is woven with double strands of linen yarns for moderate thickness and durability, which are necessary aspects for the brushing process.

The brushing takes place in the Niigata region, known as Japan's flannel shirt production area. brushing produces deep fluff and a soft, voluminous finish.
