This is a long-sleeve open-collar shirt suitable for wear even in the summer months.
Designed for those who prefer to have a light outer layer during warmer seasons or who may not be comfortable with short-sleeve shirts, this shirt offers an ideal alternative with its open-collar design.
Although it features long sleeves, the shirt is tailored with CONFECT signature relaxed fit. The generous sleeve width allows for ample airflow, contributing to its breathability. The sleeves can also be rolled up and adjusted to a preferred length, making it easy to layer without feeling overheated, even in the height of summer. To preserve the character of the original yarn-dyed pattern while adding depth and a vintage feel, the fabric has been treated with a pigment dye. This dyeing method, similar to indigo dyeing used in denim, is known for its tendency to fade over time, creating a unique worn-in appearance. Please note that some color transfer may occur onto inner garments or bags during wear.

For washing, we recommend hand-washing gently with a neutral detergent to minimize abrasion. If using a washing machine, please wash separately on a delicate cycle with low water flow. Be aware that localized fading or discoloration may occur along fabric creases due to friction during washing. However, with repeated washes—second and third times—these contrasts will gradually soften and blend into the fabric. We appreciate your understanding of this characteristic.

This fabric is made from 100% linen, using French flax. The warp yarn is Linen 80/1 and the weft yarn is Linen 60/1.
Although this fabric had been stored in a warehouse, the year in which the raw yarn was spun happened to coincide with a particularly high-quality flax harvest. As a result, the fabric is characterized by its smooth texture with minimal slubs or thick irregularities.
Only standard finishing processes such as singeing and desizing have been applied, but thanks to the quality of the yarn itself, the fabric has a crisp hand and a distinctly linen-like texture. It is a beautifully finished deadstock material.
Two base fabrics were used: one is a yarn-dyed red chambray, and the other a yarn-dyed orange stripe. As these base fabrics were in relatively common colors for linen materials, an overdyeing process was applied to transform them into more distinctive shades. This resulted in a unique linen fabric with a special character and coloration.

CARE & MAINTENANCE:
Hand wash, no more than 30℃ max.
Do not bleach.
Do not tumble dry.
